Little Lebanese makanek, spiced and made in-house every day. Brown them in a pan and finish them with lemon and pomegranate molasses.
What it is. Small, thin Lebanese sausages with the warm spicing of traditional makanek, made in-house and prepared daily.
Taste and texture. Juicy, aromatic and a little tangy once glazed. A mezze favorite.
How to cook it. A medium pan with a little oil. Don’t prick them; roll them around for 8–10 minutes until browned all over and cooked through (71 °C). Squeeze in lemon, add a spoon of pomegranate molasses, toss to coat and take them straight to the table with bread.
Pack and storage. Arrives cold and vacuum-sealed, in 500 g or 1 kg packs. Keep them sealed in the fridge at 0–4 °C and use within 2 days of the packed date, or freeze them on the day of delivery (−18 °C, follow the use-by date on the label). Thaw in the fridge, never on the counter.
Where it comes from. Made and spiced in-house in Beirut from our house-line beef, Grillsons Select, and packed the day it ships.
Allergens. Contains pine nuts (tree nuts).
