Privacy policy

This explains what we collect when you order from Grillsons, why, and what we do with it. We keep it to what we need to get your order to your door.

What we collect

  • Your contact details — name, phone number and email address.
  • Your delivery address — street, building, area, governorate, a landmark, and, if you set one, the pin you drop on the map.
  • Your orders — what you bought, when, the delivery window, and how you paid.
  • Your account, if you create one — saved addresses, order history and loyalty points.
  • Your birthday, only if you choose to give it — the day and month, never the year — for a small surprise on the day. You can remove it in My Account at any time.

The Grillsons app

  • Notifications. If you allow them, your phone gives the app a notification token. We keep it with your language, the app version and the orders you follow, to send you order updates and, only if you switch them on, offers (at most once a week). Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple’s push service deliver them. You can turn them off at any time in Account or in your phone’s settings.
  • Location. When you tap Locate me, the app asks for your phone’s location to place the pin for your delivery address. It is never used in the background. The map and the address lookup come from OpenStreetMap, which receives the pin’s position.
  • Ratings and problem reports. Your flames, answers and notes go to our team, linked to your order.
  • Deleting your account. In the app: Account → Account details → Delete my account, or see grillsons.com/account-deletion. Your past orders stay in our records, no longer linked to an account.
  • Who helps us. Our hosting, Cloudflare (security and speed, including the check on sign-in forms), our email service, and Google / Apple for notifications, each only as far as needed.
  • The app has no ads and no analytics, and does not track you across other apps or websites.

Why we use it

  • To prepare and deliver your order, and to contact you about it.
  • To send you order confirmations and updates by email.
  • To keep your account, your order history and your points.

We do not sell your information, and we never give your name, phone number, email or address to advertisers.

Who sees it

Our team, to prepare your order. The rider delivering it, who sees your name, phone number, address, landmark and map pin, and any note you leave. The services that run this website and send our emails, only as far as needed to do that.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them for our accounts. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Message us on WhatsApp or reply to any order email and we will deal with it.

Cookies and measurement

Some cookies are needed to run the shop: your basket, your session, your language, and the check that keeps our sign-in forms safe. They are always on.

When you arrive, the shop also notes where you came from (for example a Google search, an Instagram ad or a link someone sent you) and keeps it with your order. This stays on our own website and is not given to any ad company. It tells us which ads bring orders.

Analytics and advertising cookies are used only if you say yes in the cookie banner. When we switch them on, they come from:

  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager: which pages and cuts people look at, and how many visits end in an order.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram): to measure our ads, that is, whether someone who saw or tapped one of our ads later visited the shop or ordered.
  • TikTok: the same, for our TikTok ads.

What they measure: the pages you open, the cuts you look at, what you put in your basket, when you tap to message us on WhatsApp, and when an order is placed and how much it is. They do not receive your password, your name, your address or your phone number.

No analytics or advertising cookie loads until you choose. “Necessary only” keeps them all off. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. We remember your choice for 6 months.

The Grillsons app has none of this: no analytics and no advertising cookies.
